A smart man once said, “It is every man’s obligation to put back into the world at least the equivalent of what he takes out of it.” ―Albert Einstein
Scott and Carrie Owen, owners of Reno Green Landscaping, have always felt a strong sense of responsibility to help the community that has supported Reno Green for the last 45 years.
During this unprecedented time, those in the medical field have been placed in high-stress, unpredictable positions. They have been working long hours, endangering themselves against a highly contagious virus, to provide our community with the best care possible. Some are working directly with COVID-19 patients and others are delivering our community’s babies, caring for our elderly, or performing life-saving surgeries.
We see their hard work and dedication to our community’s health and safety, and we are thankful for everyone who works in the medical field.
In our community, we have also seen local restaurants greatly impacted by this pandemic. We decided to support local restaurants by purchasing meals for medical staff on the front lines, our little way of helping our community.
April 7 Donation
On April 7, 2020, Reno Green Landscaping donated 150 boxed lunches to staff at Renown Regional Medical Center. Lunches were purchased from Butchers Kitchen Char-B-Que to support the local restaurant.
“We want to say thank you to our local community members on the front lines of this pandemic,” says Reno Green owner, Scott Owen, “and what better way than with a warm meal from a local restaurant.”
A local, family-owned and operated business, we have served the Greater Reno Area for 45 years. It’s in our mission to support the local community. We hope these meals took some stress off those working day and night to protect our community.

April 21 Donation
Again, on April 21, 2020, Reno Green Landscaping donated 60 boxed lunches to staff at Renown Regional Medical Center at the South Meadows campus. Lunches were purchased from Capriotti’s on Plumb Lane to support the local restaurant.
